What vehicles and road types can be simulated?

The cab in the TRL simulator will be a Mercedes Benz New Actros Day Cab and the associated software will reflect the dynamics of that vehicle. However, simulators and their relevant software provide an opportunity to model a variety of vehicles with many different attributes. The variations are only constrained by the programming resources they require and the training exercise that they support. Events such as the surge of liquid loads and changes in the centre of gravity of a vehicle can all be replicated. This simulator has been designed to replicate the conditions generally met by C and C&E licensed drivers during UK urban, rural and motorway driving. Different levels of traffic, and variable external factors, incorporating climatic, temporal and geographic conditions, will be introduced to ensure that training modules are as realistic as possible.
